Venice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality primary health care to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect. In November 2021, Venice Family Clinic merged with South Bay Family Health Care, uniting more than a century of experience helping patients regardless of their income, insurance or immigration status. The organization now has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. The Director of Health Education is responsible for the overall management of the planning, development, delivery/implementation and evaluation/improvement of health education programs for all Venice Family Clinic sites and associated outlying facilities. In addition, this position also may include responsibility for one or more of the following functions: patient education, prenatal care, doula services, chronic disease management, staff wellness initiatives and any other assigned program(s)/service(s). Integrates services/programs with strategic/organizational goals and objective.

Qualifications

Required:

·         Supervisory experience

·        Strong management skills

·        Experience with program planning, implementation, and evaluation

·        Experience in contract, grant and fiscal management

·        Able to work independently and in a team environment

·        Knowledge of and sensitivity to different cultures

·        Excellent writing and communication skills

·        Excellent problem solving skills

·        Ability to travel to all clinic sites

·        Flexible schedule, and ability to work some evenings and weekends

·        Valid California driver license and proof of auto insurance Preferred:

·        Graduate degree (MPH Preferred) with at least 2 years of experience in health education

·        Bilingual Spanish/English

·        Experience in grant writing and reporting
