About the Role 

The web producer supports the Director of Online Development and Strategy in maintaining The Huntington’s website and other digital platforms, designing, editing, proofing, and producing clean, concise, and user-friendly digital content. The individual works closely with content creators within the organization as well as external partners utilizing text and assets such as images, graphics, and videos to create an outstanding user experience. Responsibilities include ensuring and maintaining institutional quality and brand standards while continuously improving website usability based on analytics, SEO, ADA standards, and industry best practices. The position requires outstanding organizational skills and an ability to function well under tight deadlines while adhering to high-quality standards. 

 

Essential Duties 

  • Creating, editing, proofing, and producing web content for the Huntington’s main public-facing website, huntington.org and other digital platforms 
  • Manage interactive projects from kick-off and requirements-gathering, to UI, design, development, QA, launch, maintenance and reporting. 
  • Proven ability to convert text, images, graphics and other digital assets into dynamic, engaging, visually interesting, traffic-driving content 
  • Sourcing and editing images from the institution’s digital asset management system and other sources 
  • Working with internal departments to produce, edit, and proof dynamic email campaigns tied to web content 
  • Training members of other departments in using various web platforms 
  • Creating and troubleshooting events on the institution’s ticketing platform 
  • Developing solutions to web processes to facilitate and improve workflow processes 
  • Conducting and reporting web analytics 
  • Ability to design web features with a user-friendly interface for smooth navigation and transitions. 
  • Ability to conduct data analysis through surveys and analytics to identify opportunities to enhance the site’s content and engage new audiences.  

 

Candidate Requirements and Experience 

Knowledge, skills and abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing or digital media 
  • Excellent working knowledge of Drupal CMS 
  • Outstanding web writing skills; ability to write clear, concise, targeted messaging 
  • Demonstrated ability to work on deadline, in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience working with a Digital Asset Management system ingesting assets and assigning metadata 
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, SEO  
  • Excellent graphic design skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive digital traffic to a site 
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
