ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Mission: Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) provides affordable housing and services for low-income people in the Tenderloin and throughout San Francisco, to promote equitable access to opportunity and resources.
Established in 1981, TNDC has grown to employ over 450 staff, to develop, own, manage, and provide supportive services in 44 properties that offer deeply affordable housing for nearly 6,100 tenants, and to expand its work in community organizing, food security and afterschool programming. TNDC is viewed as a trusted and well-organized community ally locally and a practice leader nationally. In San Francisco, TNDC envisions diverse communities where people with low incomes can fulfill their potential and meet their basic needs. In the Tenderloin, TNDC stands as a catalyst for advancing community interests and a force for expanding the choices that enhance livability, such as housing, employment, education, food, cultural activities, and open spaces.

SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Director of Tenant Services, the Health and Wellness Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of dynamic health and wellness programs and initiatives, including: designing comprehensive, structured, on-going programming promoting culturally relevant health and wellness programs for TNDC tenants and/or participants of TNDC sponsored Health and Wellness initiatives open to Tenderloin community. The Health and Wellness Program Manager is also responsible for supervising and overseeing the work of key staff in the Health and Wellness component of the Tenant Service Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develop, manage and provide oversight for implementing health and wellness programs for TNDC tenants and/or Tenderloin community members.
- Manage the day-to day operations of the Health and Wellness programs.
- Provide on-going support and supervision to supervisory staff
- Hire, orient, and on-board new supervisees.
- Compile monthly statistics and distribute to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and administer annual customer satisfaction surveys
- Recommend performance measures and targets to the Director of Tenant Service
- Conduct on-going assessment of program outcomes to determine the effectiveness of the program.
- Attend all required meetings
- Broker relationships with off-site providers bringing health and wellness programming on-site.
- Maintain up-to date insurance records and proof of professional liability insurance for all chartered bus contracts and/or external service providers delivering services on site.
- Ensure appropriate staff in the Health and Wellness component of the Tenant Service Department attends monthly tenant meetings at their assigned sites.
- Manage Health and Wellness Program budget.
- Comply with all protective services reporting procedures.
- Develop and maintain new resources and relationships with outside service providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and statistics on tenants being served through Health and Wellness programs.
- Assist staff in the Fund Development Department with securing funding for program activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters Degree in Public Health, Masters of Social Work, Public Policy, Masters of Science in Nutrition or related field.
- Two years experience working in community based organizations serving very low-income populations.
- Two years experience managing health and wellness programs
- Two years experience providing support and supervision to supervisory staff.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual language skills-Cantonese /English or Spanish/English: Written and Verbal
