Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Events, Donor Relations & Stewardship Coordinator with excellent customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Reporting to the Director, Events, Donor Relations, and Stewardship, the Coordinator works independently and as part of the Events, Donor Relations, Stewardship team to provide support of fundraising for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in non-profit fundraising including a knowledge of principles and practices of fundraising development preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge software or similar donor database is an advantage
  • Experience in WebEx, Zoom, or similar virtual event platform
  • Event and donor relations experience is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County as needed

About the position:

  • Support Director and CDO in entering/pulling/tracking stewardship action assignments for CEO, CDO, and volunteer leadership
  • Under supervision of Director of Events, Donor Relations, and Stewardship, liaise with Communications Team and Senior Director to create Annual Reports and Voices newsletter mailings. Partner with outside vendors to coordinate design, printing, and mailing as needed
  • Attend and assist with events and their logistics (virtual and in-person) as assigned. Collaborate with Operations Team to establish invitation list criteria, and pull lists from Raiser’s Edge. Track RSVPs, manage guest lists, and coordinate event registration processes
  • Under the supervision of their supervisor, oversee PPLA Birthday Card stewardship program, including managing monthly lists, printing, distributing materials to Development staff, and tracking in Raiser’s Edge
  • Support the Patrons lifetime giving recognition program and the Ann L. Nickoll Legacy Circle programs. Create opportunities for donor engagement and stewardship
  • Partner with Operations Team to adhere to tracking and reporting of donor interests, donor engagement opportunities, recognition societies, and lifetime giving levels. Update attributes, track and process planned gift intentions, and send welcome letters
  • Analyze data such as donor retention rates and efficacy of donor stewardship initiatives, and present findings
  • Complete VIP forms and donor acknowledgement letters for planned gifts, third party partnership gifts, and other donations
  • Provide administrative support as needed. Draft Events, Donor Relations, and Stewardship Team Meeting agendas, update Development Department communications calendar, and take notes at meetings and events as assigned
  • Provide excellent customer service through coverage of Development Department phone line, email, and PPLA’s HQ front desk
