PATH is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) candidates with supervisory experience to join our Santa Barbara programs as an Associate Director. This position will oversee our Interim Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing programs in Santa Barbara.

ABOUT OUR HOUSING PROGRAMS

PATH is proud to provide a range of services to our neighbors experiencing homelessness that meet their specific needs to attain housing stability. Our Interim Housing Programs provide temporary housing and supportive services to assist individuals attaining housing stability. The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program in Santa Barbara provides in-home supportive services to individuals who have experienced homelessness to ensure they are able to retain their housing and improve their well-being. 

WHAT IS AN ASSOICATE DIRECTOR?

The Associate Director is responsible for the oversight of the Interim Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing programs in Santa Barbara, including day to day operations, program performance, staff supervision, administration, and contract management. Responsibilities of the Associate Director include:

Program Management & Oversight

Ensuring successful implementation, coordination of services, achievement of performance measures and effective evaluation of services within the programs

Collaborating with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure program compliance with contracts, partnership agreements, and all other requirements and expectations

Functioning as the primary point of contact for program matters

Providing administrative oversight to staff including documentation quality and program reporting

Case Management Oversight

Ensuring that all program participants receive services identified in participant service plans

Fostering a collaborative team environment

Ensuring staff is knowledgeable and familiar with contract expectations and delivering high-quality services

Staff Support & Development

Planning, scheduling and adjusting as necessary on-going workload assignments

Conducting weekly meetings with staff to provide regular feedback and support

Supervising and coaching staff on the implementation of evidence-based practices in accordance with the population served and PATH contracts and standards

Program Outreach

Educating, networking and representing programs to local agencies, organizations, governments, and communities

Reports, Contracts and Compliance

Reviewing and authorizing all program and contract reports

Evaluating case management reports and assembling full department reports

Submitting regular reports and performing periodic internal audits

Ensuring that PATH and/or affiliate database is updated in accordance to policies

We’re looking for candidates that:

Have strong skills in staff training

Are strong leaders with a hands-on, lead-by-example work style

Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with advanced and evidenced based interventions such as Harm Reduction and Motivational Interviewing

Display excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work in a variety of settings with a diverse range of cultures, populations, and communities

Effectively resolve and cope with immediate conflict or crisis situations

Demonstrate computer and technology proficiency

Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals with urgent and multiple case management and health needs

Work just as well independently as they do on a team

Exercise mature judgement, and are highly motivated, self-starting and proactive

Are excellent at communicating, whether in writing or verbally

Have a strong sense of prioritization and can coordinate multiple demands in a high-pressure environment

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

For this role the Associate Director must:

Hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in human behavior or related field; LCSW credential is strongly preferred

Have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in social services; homeless services experience strongly preferred

Be able and willing to work flexible hours which may include evenings or weekends

Have employment eligibility verification

Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training

Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination

Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:

Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must: 

Have reliable transportation

A valid driver’s license
