ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Client Data Analyst will be responsible for managing department data sets, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data. This position will be responsible for all phases of implementation of Client Insights with agency partner network and will oversee data processing and play a key role in presenting information to help departments identify business inefficiencies. The Analyst will work in the field to develop relationships with agencies and partners to ensure all training and implementation is complete. The Analyst assists in the maintenance of reporting sites and participates in documenting systems and reporting requirements. The Analyst will work collaboratively with various department managers and stakeholders to assess business trends in order to make data-driven decisions. The Analyst will work closely with partner and prospective partners on implementing new strategies to reduce redundancies and increase access to food.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, interpret, and analyze data using statistical techniques to interpret trends or patterns and provide ongoing reports and dashboards to organizational leaders. Assess data systems and databases to identify opportunities for process improvement, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance. Serve as subject matter expert and point person for data analysis tools and processes. Provide guidance to management regarding questions about report data and results.

Process Improvement: Serve as the liaison between agencies and partners of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Act as a project manager to ensure all aspects of implementation are completed. Train agencies and partners regarding user end use and processes of Client Insights system. Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other technological strategies to optimize data efficiency and quality. Create appropriate training documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and train end-users on new reports and dashboard.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or related.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as Data Analyst or in a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain and present complex information in a way that is easily understood to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and cultural sensitivity in coordinating activities and communicating with all customers, peers, and the community at large.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with others towards common goals. Presents a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Communicates accurately, honestly, supportively and in a timely manner with department and interdepartmental team members. Demonstrates strong planning, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Displays professional and personal integrity.
  • Computer experience and proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google platform (GoogleDocs, etc.)

  • Bilingual/Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin
