Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Training, the Training Administrator will be responsible for developing training and learning opportunities and programs designed to fill the skill gaps for staff. In this role you will solicit information from leadership so that we can develop strategies that increase employee engagement across the organization. And, implement strategies that create career pathways for staff through professional development and training programs.

To be successful in this role requires someone who can create and bring in effective training opportunities, that fill the skill gaps of staff. You will need to have excellent time/project management, a keen eye for training relevancy, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the training process, ensuring a seamless and effective learning experience for our new hires and current employees.
  • Working alongside your supervisor and with the eLearning Training Specialist, ensure the organizational training program allows union staff and manager opportunities to fulfil competencies embedded in the annual review process.
  • Working alongside the eLearning Training Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating both employee- and manager training programs, playing a crucial role in the planning and execution of training programs within our organization.
  • Ability to partner with various department leaders/management to understand their learning and development needs and create solutions which encourage professional development.
  • With feedback from leadership, lead efforts to design, plan and organize training (whether internal or outside of the organization) that meet the needs of our union and our entry level management teams as needed
  • Will manage organizational efforts that develop and conducts special training courses and employee workshops. This will include managing the efforts that evaluate the selection of outside consultants and trainers.
  • Will manage the logistics of calendar invites, reminders, flyers, and other communications to ensure participants are adequately informed about available trainings.
  • Work across the HR team to ensure new hire compliance trainings (HIPPA, Cyber Security and Sexual Harassment) are a part of the onboarding experience and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Be able to create feedback loops, methods for assessments, feedback or reports to ensure trainings and onboarding meets the needs of our employees.
  • Be able to evaluate system functionality and support and/or lead efforts for future system implementation.
  • Work with hiring managers to develop detailed onboarding schedules for each new hires.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work onsite at least 4 days a week.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of applicable experience in instructional design, training coordination and content management.
  • Familiarity and experience with LMS administration, and other digitals platforms.
  • Ability to write, present, and communicate effectively among a diverse audience.
  • Experience working strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements/efficiencies in a program/project
  • Ability to effectively create training materials, flyers, programs or digital guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively project manage deadlines and juggle competing priorities.
  • Experience with creating assessment and/or in reporting and metrics capabilities for training evaluation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Strong computer skills (ie: MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

$60,000 – $70,000 a year

COVID Policy

All staff are required to be fully vaccinated (barring application for medical or religious exemptions). Wearing masks in the office is optional for our staff.

This role will be covered by the collective bargaining agreement.
