Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, and working with the Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist, the Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that College Track can identify all financial transactions, ensures that all transactions are properly authorized, documented and recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and helps ensure that policies and procedures are in place to safeguard assets. The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring all banking information is accurate and up to date. The Senior Accountant also ensures that financial reports are prepared timely.
Primary Responsibilities Include:

- Revenue
- Manage the weekly processing of cash receipts and recording of revenue.
- Book and reconcile investment activity.
- Manage the tracking and reporting of the organization’s temporarily restricted funds and administer timely releases.
- Ensure all revenue is posted to GL accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct monthly revenue reconciliation between accounting (Intacct) and fundraising (Salesforce) systems.
- Support and train the development team in finance documentation/reporting
- Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Maintain and update fixed assets.
- Support the monthly processing of corporate credit card activity
- Support with compliance filings
- Support month and year-end close process
- Support the annual audit and tax process
- Support with updating policy and procedures
- Consistently analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain accounting system
- System and process improvement
- Administer banking information
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience Required
- Six or more year’s related experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word.
- Comfort with financial systems. Experience with Bill.com, Concur and Intacct a plus.
- Experience with non-profit organization with budget exceeding $20M.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Additional Requirements
College Track requires that the holder of this position be fully vaccinated, and boosted (if eligible), against COVID-19, as defined by the CDC. College Track will require proof of vaccination and a booster shot from all future employees. New hires who are booster eligible but have not yet received the booster shot will have 60 days from their date of hire to do so.
