Academic Advisor, STEAM
As our Academic Advisor, you will help ensure scholars matriculate into colleges that match their academic and personal goals. Day to day, you will deliver STEAM instructional curriculum and facilitate academic preparedness to young people. You will cultivate strong relationships with teachers, counselors and caregivers in order to provide support to scholars. You’ll know the Academic Advisor is the right fit for you if…
- You are passionate about delivering culturally responsive, asset-based, STEAM instructional curriculum to positively impact 9th through 12th-grade scholar academic achievement
- You have experience facilitating academic preparedness seminars for young people to support their journeys to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers
- You’re ready to manage a diverse caseload of ~30-45 high school scholars, ensuring each student has the tools, resources, and support plans they need to matriculate to college and earn a bachelor’s degree
- You excel in analyzing student data
- You are effective at building and maintaining authentic relationships with young people
- You are comfortable navigating a Learning Management System such as Google Classroom, Coursera, and grade portals such as PowerSchool, or IIluminate.
- You are a strong advocate for scholars pursuing a life of opportunity, choice, and power
- You are excited to work with students in-person Monday – Friday from 11:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. with flexibility for occasional morning or weekend hours

This position is full-time, exempt, with a full salary range of $64,480-$80,500. However, aligned with our DEI practices, we typically bring in candidates between the minimum and maximum of $68,950-$72,100.
