  • We are currently working in a 100% remote environment. This role can work remotely from anywhere in Washington, Oregon, or California.

Position Overview  

The temporary Impact Data Analyst reports to and works closely with the Social Impact Research and Evaluation Director to conduct data analysis on the social and environmental impact of our affiliate, Beneficial State Bank. This work aims to change the banking industry by demonstrating the impact that triple bottom banking can have.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Collect and maintain monthly impact data on loans and deposits. This includes tracking the mission-alignment of business sectors, borrower business practices, borrower certifications, etc.
  • Run reports using MS query and update excel databases using information from reports
  • Refer to third-party data to conduct impact metric calculations, such as calculating the greenhouse gas emissions related to the Bank’s loan portfolio. 
  • Collect and maintain data related to housing affordability for the Bank’s affordable housing loan portfolio; conduct analysis on this data and create summary reports
  • Collect and maintain data related to renewable energy production for the Bank’s renewable energy loan portfolio; conduct analysis on this data and create summary reports.
  • Use publicly available map data to geocode and summarize the geographic characteristics of the Bank’s loan portfolio. 
  • Conduct analysis using available internal datasets to provide impact metrics for use in collateral and other purposes

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and transferable experience
  • 2+ years work experience, with 1+ years experience in functional areas
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • Familiar with creating MS queries
  • Highly organized
  • Delivers work in a timely manner and meets deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives working independently
  • Commitment to contributing to social, economic, and racial justice movements 
  • Comfort with working remotely and supporting and collaborating with remote staff 
  • Demonstrated experience with change management and creating and implementing new policies in a growing non-profit organization   
  • Demonstrated interest in contributing and working by Beneficial State Foundation’s Core Values 
  • Strong technology knowledge and comfort working with various software and apps including Microsoft Suite / Microsoft 365, Google Suite, Slack, Basecamp and Zoom – and the adaptability and learning mindset to learn and become effective with new and unfamiliar systems 

Position Information

Location: We are currently working in a 100% remote environment. This role can work remotely from anywhere in Washington, Oregon, or California.  

Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt 

Work Environment 

All staff are currently working from home. We provide staff with support for remote work, including a monthly stipend, expense reimbursement, ergonomic assessment resources, etc.
