Overview

AMAAD is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Behavioral Health Therapist (BH-T). Reporting to the Behavioral Health and Recovery Director, the BH-T will work closely with the Behavioral Health Team to provide evidence-based practices and support to participants/clients while educating the broader community about the services offered at AMAAD for treating substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and other co-occurring conditions.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the delivery of timely, appropriate, cost-effective, and high-quality services/programs with a minimum client caseload of 20, but no more than 30;
  • Assures continuity of care and appropriate utilization of resources both within and outside of Behavioral Health Care;
  • Achieve and maintain a continuum of care within Behavioral Health Services, including complaint recordkeeping and data management;
  • Participate in regular case conferencing, clinical dialogue, and other practice-enriching activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A graduate from a university with nationally recognized accreditation, with a Master’s degree in a related human service field.
  • Must possess and maintain appropriate credentials to practice as an associate Behavioral Therapist.
  • Associates must be advanced to licensing before the end of their second anniversary date at AMAAD.
  • Computer skills required: Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), and Presentation Software (PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Occasionally required to lift items up to 25 pounds
