This position makes an impact at AJC by working closely with their supervisor to advance the agency’s advocacy efforts through strategic program and event management, outreach and engagement with high-level stakeholders, and building coalitions and partnerships. This position is responsible for supporting the growth of programs and initiatives, developing support and resources, and representing AJC in a variety of public forums.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the department’s strategy, goals, objectives, and action plans
  • Develop, manage, and facilitate advocacy initiatives
  • Serve as team leader as designated by the director in their absence
  • Serve as subject matter expert
  • Collaborate with and manage the work of Boards, committees, task forces, or working groups
  • Leverage resources to help build awareness of and support for the AJC and department initiatives
  • Assist with department fundraising, if appropriate.
  • Create reports and analyze department activities, metrics, and impact
  • Supervise and conduct research, monitor, and report on developments, issues, and trends impacting the department and AJC priorities
  • Direct the department’s administrative functions (e.g., scheduling, note taking, data entry, record keeping, expense reports)
  • Build coalitions and partnerships
  • Represent AJC and the department in the community, at functions, in the media, and in other public forums
  • Draft, edit, and disseminate communications resources and materials

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 6-8+ years of related work experience

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000, depending on relevant experience.
