Overview
The Occidental Arts & Ecology Center (OAEC) is hiring interns for 2025!!
Each year, OAEC hires a cohort of enthusiastic interns to live and learn at our 80-acre research, demonstration, education, advocacy, and community-organizing center in West Sonoma County, CA. Interns focus in one of three departments – Program Administration, Garden, and Facilities – and have an opportunity to learn the day-to-day running of a thriving, land-based non-profit and intentional community, now celebrating its 30th Anniversary.
The 2025 cohort will begin working in early February and end in mid-December. In exchange for a 24-hour work week, all interns are given a private, cozy place to live, community meals, and use of all OAEC facilities (hot tub, swimming pond, etc.) Interns also receive free participation in the OAEC Permaculture Design Course, a $500 monthly stipend, and generous vacation and sick leave. Interns take part in the life of the residential community and participate in community cooking and chore rotations.
More information and links to apply can be found on our website here – https://oaec.org/about-us/internships/. Applications are due October 16, 2024.
