Overview

The Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) is looking for a PEF Development Associate to join their PEF Development Team. This position will work closely with the PEF Development Director and Development Manager to meet the fundraising goals for the organization and assist with all aspects related to development, including donor cultivation, stewardship, acknowledgements, and data records maintenance. The position will report directly to the PEF Development Manager. The position will interact with all PEF staff, board members, and volunteers.

 

The position’s responsibilities will include ongoing maintenance of PEF’s internal donor database using the Donor Perfect software. Other duties include but are not limited to: gathering information and research on donors and prospects, assisting with direct mail and online fundraising campaigns, recording donations and gifts in the database, sending monthly acknowledgement letters, and regularly maintaining and updating all donor information in the database to assure accurate records.

 

In addition, the Development Associate will assist the Development team in planning, execution and implementation of campaigns and events for donor cultivation. These events may take place in the evenings or on weekends and include but are not limited to our signature programs, Teacher Grants and Field Trip Grants. Duties will include assimilation of materials, assisting with the planning and execution of receptions and maintaining accurate records of all expenditures.

 

All PEF team members work together as coworkers to promote and maintain a positive work environment while supporting the strategic aims of the organization. PEF team members must demonstrate strong organization, written, and oral communication skill and maintain confidentiality with regard to donor relations at all times. The ideal candidate for the Development Associate position will have experience and confidence in database management, and be tech-savvy, possessing strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Suite programs and Zoom.

This is a part-time, non remote position, not to exceed 25 hours per week. Some evenings and weekends may be required. High School Diploma or equivalent, some college classes preferred. Fundraising or CRM background a huge plus!
