HR Generalist & Office Administrator
The Southeast Asian Development Center (SEADC) is looking for an experienced HR Generalist & Office Administrator to join the team in our San Francisco office.

As a member of the administrative team, the HR Generalist & Office Administrator supports the organization in all administrative and human resources functions. The HR Generalist role engages in activities of recruitment, new hire onboarding, benefits management & assist in complaint investigation; Office Administrator role ensures smooth running of our company’s offices and contributes to driving sustainable growth.

GREAT BENEFITS & COMPETITIVE SALARY:
· Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 dependent on experience, Full-time, Exempt
· Benefits : medical, dental, vision, 401K with employer match, AD&D, EAP, commuter benefits, 12 holiday days, 10 vacation days and 10 sick days per year.
· Work Location: SEADC’s office is located in downtown San Francisco, convenient to BART and other public transit. This position will be working in-person at our office space.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Human Resources:
- Assists to create a culture of collaboration, celebration, positivity, respect and trust; embodies our mission, vision, and values.
- Engages in recruitment efforts, including but not limited to posting on job boards, screening incoming resumes, scheduling interviews, communications with candidates, conducting references and background screens and fingerprinting. Works with hiring managers in drafting offer letters and scheduling start date.
- Engages in new hires’ onboarding and training schedule and activities with the support of BambooHR system.
- Prepares new employee workspace including IT set up
- Hosts first-day welcome coffee with new hires and assists with first day schedule.
- Provides facility orientation and completes new hire paperwork.
- Provides orientation to new hires the employee handbook and policies, time tracking, payroll, SEADC’s benefits and portal, and sets up and tracks sexual harassment prevention online training.
- Assists employees in the areas of general HR in training, policies, compliance, benefits, and safety.
- Aids manager with scheduling new 90-day reviews and follows through with materials / signatures.
- Coordinates benefits open enrollment; aids in 401k enrollment; and guides staff in seeking answers through broker communications.
- Works with Payroll in time tracking by non-exempt employees to ensure accuracy, completion, and approvals.
- Updates and maintains all job descriptions as new positions are created or existing positions are updated
- Ensures new hires are coronavirus vaccinated or are tested weekly; assists with exposure response; conduct facility safety inspections; responds to workplace exposure and accidents with applicable steps.
- Understands, implements, and communicates policies and procedures.
- Maintains all HR related documentation and monitors manager’s documentation processes.
Administrative and Office Support:
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
- Coordinates with 3rd party vendors such as IT consultant, janitorial service, as needed
- Coordinates with managers in opening and closing the office.
- Maintains computers and systems, coordinating with external IT consultant, as needed
- Responsible for maintaining the facilities: HVAC- circulation of air (filtration safety), building access, ergonomics, work stations, utilities issues, equipment and machine maintenance.
- Maintains kitchenette cleanliness and supplies
- Coordinates with program staff & managers to maintain all program related space: cleanliness, refrigerated foods, snacks.
- Ensure we have what we need to do our work: order share office and janitorial supplies
- Co-ordinate staff communications; set up conference calls and staff meetings
- Arrange trainings, retreats and parties
- Assists in general administrative duties, as needed

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience and Skills:
- Commitment to the mission of SEADC
- COVID-19 vaccinated or meet requirements for exception (medical/religious)
- Able and willing to work at the Center on a daily basis
- 3+ years’ experience in an administrative support role
- Experience in human resources and administrative duties
- Experience working in a non-profit
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS 365, CRM systems – Salesforce is a plus
- Strong organizational and project skills; ability to collaborate with people and organize events
- Considerate, anticipate the needs of others
- Excellent attention to detail and able to prioritize at a moment’s notice
- Flexibility and intuition for prioritizing
- Professionally honed writing and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of low-income individuals, immigrants, and or English language learners
- Demonstrated cultural competency and providing services to underserved populations; verbal and written fluency in a language other than English is desirable (Southeast Asian languages preferred)
- Excellent judgment and proven ability to recommend solutions, take immediate action, multiple task with competing priorities, and complete them in a timely manner
- Experience in working with volunteers, interns, and professionals
- Ability to work cooperatively on a multi-disciplinary diverse team
Physical Requirements
· Possesses multi-limb and eye-hand coordination
· Able to stand, bend, reach, stoop and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
· Able to work in a pace environment for extended periods of time
· Able to sit at desk, working on computer and phones for a full work day
· Able to engage in program activities and events which require walking and presenting
· Able to work overtime as needed
· Able to travel locally as needed
· Able to drive
